Juliane is a psychological associate at ABLE Developmental Clinic Inc. in Surrey, BC, where she provides psychological assessments, including psychoeducational, autism, ADHD, and mental health assessments, under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
She also provides post-diagnosis care, consultation for parents, teachers, and other professionals, counselling, and low-demand social groups, under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
Juliane loves to share her knowledge and lived experiences with others, especially in the area of neurodiversity-affirming care through presentations and workshops and is always open to chatting more about possible collaborations. See the Presentations/Workshops section for more information.
She is also a doctoral candidate in the School and Applied Child Psychology Program at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
Juliane was a psychology resident at ABLE Developmental Clinic Inc. and Surrey Schools for the 2023-2024 academic year.
She earned her Master of Arts in School Psychology at UBC in 2018.
Juliane has worked in schools and private practice settings for the last five years, providing client-centred, psychological assessments, counselling, and consultation from a strength-based perspective.
Juliane always focuses on understanding individual areas of strength and difficulty to develop recommendations to support growth and success.
She strives to be compassionate, collaborative, supportive and affirming in her approach and endeavours to be an LGBTQ+ ally.
Juliane is passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective and strives to continue learning and growing as a neurodiversity-affirming professional.
Her doctoral dissertation research focuses on neurodiversity-affirming practice from the perspective of neurodivergent, autistic individuals.
Her passion for supporting children and youth with diverse learning and development needs began as an educational assistant early in her career.
For much of her career, she has worked in schools with children and youth and supported school staff, parents, and families.
She has extensive knowledge about the supportive services that can be received in classrooms, schools, and communities.
